Container Statue
What is the best way to preserve a small statue of paper?

I have a statue of paper I'd like to keep. It looks like a diamond ring. What is the best way to preserve it without hurting its value? ie a plastic box is sufficient or where can I go to get it sealed in a container airtight plastic? What other options? His creativity is enjoyed, but realistic answers are appreciated

If you really want keep well and good, I like to have a professional frame shop do it. I can imagine something like this in a small square frame shadow box-type "glass or acrylic UV on both sides (all sides if kept in a cube or other geometric shape) Something that can be displayed on a shelf or table. In addition, professionals can eliminate air and moisture so your work does not get damaged.

Christ is the "image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation" (Col 1:15). God could not be reflected in the Old Testament, has given a human image of the divine being. The image as a method to focus your prayer to God, as a method of showing respect through bodily action pious.

Deut. 4:15 - this verse, Protestants say that since he saw "no way" the Lord, we should not recorded images of him.

Deut. 4:16 - of course, in the early history of Israel prohibited from making images of God, because God does not reveal himself yet very visible "in the form of any figure."

Deut. 4:17-19 - Therefore, the Israelites had represented God not yet revealed, may be tempted to worship in the form of an animal, birds, reptiles and fish, which is a common misconception of time.

Exodus 3:2-3, Dan 7:9, Matt. 3:16; Marcos 1:10, Luke 3:22, John 1:32, Acts 2:3 - later, however, we see that God revealed in visible form (as a dove, fire, etc.).

Deut. 5:8 - God's commandment "Thou shall not make an idol" is fully connected to the worship of false gods. God does not forbid images used in worship, but bans images of themselves to be worshiped.

Exodus 25:18-22, 26:1,31 - for example, God orders the making of the image a gold cherub. This image of heaven, of course, is worshiped by the Israelites. However, the picture has their minds to the supernatural and calls God.

Num 21:8-9 - God also commands the execution of the bronze serpent. The image of the bronze serpent is not an idol to be worshiped, but an article that raises the spirit to the supernatural.

I Kings 6:23-36, 7:27-39, 8:6-67 - Solomon's temple contains statues of cherubim and images of cherubim, oxen and lions. God did not condemn these images that were used in worship.

2 Kings 18:4 - it was only when people began to worship the statue that incur the wrath of God and the king destroyed it. The order prohibits the use of recorded images deals exclusively with the false worship of those images.

1 Chronicles. 28:18-19 - David Solomon gives the design of altar made of refined gold with images of cherubim of gold. These images were used in the Jews' most solemn place of worship.

2 Chron. 3:7-14 - the house was full of gold with elaborate cherubim carved in wood and covered in gold.

Ez. 41:15 - Ezekiel describes images recorded in the church has carved portraits of cherubs. These are similar to images of angels and saints in many Catholic churches.

Col. 1:15 - the only image of God that Catholics worship is Jesus Christ who is the "image" (Greek "Eikon") of the invisible God.

David gave Solomon the plan "for the altar of incense refined gold, and their weight, also his plan for the golden chariot of the cherubim that spread their wings and covered the ark of the Lord. All this is made clear by writing the Lord's hand in everything, all the work that is performed in accordance with the plan "plan (1 CHR. 28:18-19). David for the temple that the biblical author tells us that it was "the hand writing of the Lord about everything", including statues of angels.

During a plague of serpents sent to punish the Israelites during the exodus, God told Moses to "make [a statue of] a fiery serpent, and set it on a stick, and everyone who is bitten, when he sees live. Moses made a bronze serpent and put it on a stick, and if a serpent bit any man, he looked at the bronze serpent and live "(Numbers 21:8-9).

One had to look at the bronze statue of the serpent to be healed, which shows that statues could use a ritual, not merely as religious decorations.

Catholics use statues, paintings and other artifacts art to remind the person or thing represented. As the mother helps them remember looking at his picture, which helps to recall the example of looking at pictures of saints they. Catholics also use statues as teaching tools. In the early Church were particularly useful for the instruction of the illiterate. Many Protestants have images of Jesus and other Bible pictures in Sunday school to teach children. Catholics also use statues to commemorate certain people and events, much as Protestant churches have three dimensional nativity scenes at Christmas.

If one measures the Protestants by the same rule, then using these 'idols' images, which would be practicing the "idolatry" of those who accuse Catholics. But there is no idolatry happens in these situations. God forbids the worship of images as gods, but does not forbid making images. If he had, religious films, videos, photographs, paintings, and all similar things would be banned. But, as the case of the bronze serpent shows, God forbid, even the ritual use of images religious.

It's when people start to worship a statue of a god that the Lord is angry. So when people started to worship the bronze serpent as a snake-god (whom they called "Nehushtan"), the righteous king Hezekiah had destroyed (2 Kgs. 18:4).
