Fine African Art
He will stay with host families are Japanese.?
I am African American. Boy, I have 17 and soon will host a program and I am an artist .. i was wonder do they have any kind of art in high school and all Japanese, as well as a gift when I leave is a fine art drawing of the host family. Will a good gift to give live. And yes I'm going to be learning Japanese, very soon.I will be July next year. Another question (the list) 1.will i look weird in class? 2.Has there ever been a black school in Japanese? 3.What should I do in school? 4 How to get your food? And anything else you would like to gain greater participation plz! and thanks (!_!)
First 1.At other students may act weird (stare at you, shrug, keep asking questions) if they are normal Japanese students, because they are not used to having a non-Japanese person looking around them, and they are curious about you, but eventually get used to it. As than any other country. 2. Yes 3. Probably the same things he did in their schools. Study, chat with friends, eating. 4. Shopping. If you live with your host family you usually eat meals with them, but if you need what we have at home, you may have to go to a store and buy with your money. Japan is not in another world. Do not worry too much.

Overview of Contemporary African Art
While many people are familiar with traditional African art, the world of contemporary African art is widely recognized. Part of the problem is the academic world's fascination with ancient forms, traditional art, making it difficult for modern artists to find a market for their work. When contemporary African art is noticed, these works tend to receive high praise and sold at high prices.
Like any group of artists, diverse crowd of African artists who create visual art totally unique to his personal vision. Even with that understanding, there are some common themes Artistic that are prevalent in contemporary African art.
The first theme popular among African artists is sculpture. Three dimensional works tend to be more widely used in two dimensions. This emphasis is actually seen throughout the history of African art. The three dimensions can also be seen in the paintings and textiles. It is not uncommon see a design painted on a house where the viewer must walk all the work to see the overall design. Textiles made in three dimensions where the fabric has been woven to display designs ceremonial or elaborately decorated. When used, the fabric makes the user appears to be a living work of art. The emphasis in sculpture is one of the preferences that help make the transition from ancient to contemporary African art.
One of the most attractive contemporary African art is the use of utilitarianism. This is in the art world in creating beautiful pieces as well as functional. Many African artists specializing in ceramics, textiles and hair ornaments, all of which are made to be used in everyday life. Even eating utensils and stools are made with beauty and functionality in mind. The geometric shapes, bright colors, and cubism are used to enhance the appeal of these common household items. Often, the elements are designed with themes that are close to the belief system African, the ancestors and spiritual symbols.
A fascinating subject that is prevalent in contemporary African art is abstract visual representation subjects. Instead of more realistic techniques used by many artists in the Western world, African-American artists are more likely to describe their issues in a way abstract. Representations are often with certain colors that indicate the characteristics and specific traits. The viewer is left to draw their own conclusions about the meaning and the symbolism of the work. The increased effort required to actually see the artwork as its creator adds to the experience of seeing a great work.
The contemporary African art is gradually receiving some of the attention and acclaim it deserves. Modern African artists have found a unique voice in staying true to tradition while expressing emotions and the experience of living in Africa today. From civil strife to meet the challenges of post-apartheid, African artists have an unlimited supply inspiration. Due to the large number of different communities and countries on the continent, there are many different cultures to explore and contemporary African art is a beautiful how.
