Wood Carving?
I'm wanting to start out in wood carving. I was wondering what tools to buy? I was thinking something like a knife and some tools palm, but I do not know what. I'm in the manufacture of small wooden objects such as necklaces (like this ... http://exquisitedreams.com/catalog/images/SW-007.jpg). Something that will have slots, very curvy. Also, if you can recommend what type of wood to use it would be great, I prefer something that is too dark and not easy to handle, but not something that would be really weak. Thank you!

Carving is the removal of pare shavings or cutting small pieces of a piece of wood. It is the most basic form of wood carving, but not really the art of wood carving, as is done today.
